Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are each going to paint two of their work vans pink for the fight to end breast cancer.

During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be contributing 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help end breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be giving 5% of all sales from their pink vans and also donate $10 for every furnace tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second October Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted two of their vans pink to raise funds for Susan G. Komen. In 2015, Fras-Air raised over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, General Manager of Fras-Air, and one of his workers both lost their mothers to alternative forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute says that 107,184 women in New Jersey had breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider stated. “While the number of cases is actually going down each year, that still represents a large number of families who are dealing with this disease, and therefore we have a serious need for research and support.”

Chris Overton, the General Manager for Service Experts of Raleigh, echoed Schneider’s sentiments. “As stated by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the leading type of cancer in the state – for men and women.”
