Jack Nelson Service Experts in Tulsa always talks about how our team of experts are NATE-certified, and while it sounds comforting, what does it actually mean?
NATE is the acronym for North American Technician Excellence and, as mentioned on their website, is the nation’s largest certification organization for HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) and refrigeration technicians. The organization was developed by and has been supported by the entire HVAC and refrigeration industry but not all technicians in the industry are required to be NATE-certified. The certification is discretionary and technicians can provide heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration services without being certified through NATE.
It’s important to Jack Nelson Service Experts that our team is NATE-certified to ensure we are sending the most qualified and professional technicians into your home. To make sure professionals meet these criteria, the NATE-certification assessments validate real-world working knowledge of HVACR systems for technicians. The tests are knowledge-based exams that assess the technician’s knowledge of these standards.
Since Jack Nelson Service Experts focuses on the HVAC side of NATE-certification (not refrigeration), there are only specific areas pertinent to our technicians. NATE test candidates may obtain installation and/or service certification in one or more of the specialty areas listed below:
- Air Conditioning
- Air Distribution
